Mahindra Group Migrates Applications to Google Cloud

Mahindra Group migrates its business-critical applications to Google Cloud and revamps its DevSecOps capabilities. It includes SAP data warehouse and data lake on the cloud that helps businesses achieve customer-centricity, sustainability, process intelligence, and automation.

Group chief technology officer of the Mahindra and Mahindra, Mohit Kapoor, said, “A digital mindset is a front and center in every aspect of the Mahindra Group. We are building for the future with advanced cloud-based technologies and data-driven strategies to speed up decision making and maximize synergies across our business.”

The transfer will take place over the next three years, according to Mahindra Group, which has companies in farm equipment such as tractors, utility vehicles, IT, and financial services.

It aims to be able to better predict trends and consumer sentiments, accelerate product innovation and deliver personalized customer experiences by then, as well as simplify data administration, cut total cost of ownership, and increase security and governance.

Microsoft Launches Defender for Google Cloud Platform!

Microsoft has announced that their defender for cloud protection is now available for Google Cloud Platform environments as well. Threat detection and security warnings are ensured across all clouds because of this. Because many firms use a hybrid cloud solution, this benefits most consumers. Defender for Cloud is a Microsoft security product that discovers and alerts vulnerabilities in protected multi-cloud and hybrid settings monitor cloud services for threats and offer recommendations to improve security.

However, the group’s ability to support cloud solutions has been limited thus far. Another amazing partner is on the way in the form of the Google Cloud Platform or GCP for short. Microsoft revealed native multi-cloud compatibility for Amazon AWS at the Ignite 2021 conference just a few weeks ago.

Microsoft Partner Group Program Manager Gilad Elyashar revealed that Microsoft Defender for Cloud now supports Google Cloud Platform natively with CSPM and CWP capabilities, eliminating the need for Google 1st party tools.

With the addition of AWS and GCP support, businesses can now use Defender for Cloud to get a quick overview of the security health of their multi-cloud environment using Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Google Cloud Platform (GCP), all from one place in the Defender for Cloud portal. Microsoft is now the only cloud provider that offers native multi-cloud protection for the industry’s top three platforms, thanks to GCP support.

TSB Golden Gate Release Helps Developers Configure Policies For Their Applications

Tetrate declared the general availability of Tetrate Service Bridge (TSB), Golden Gate release.

API Gateway, a web application firewall (WAF), and service mesh capabilities are all combined into a single administration plane in this latest edition, resulting in a cloud-agnostic unified application connection platform.

TSB delivers centralized governance and decentralized enforcement to application networking by unifying these capabilities—essential for enabling zero-trust security across historical and new workloads.

The Envoy-based application networking layer from TSB blurs the lines between north-south and east-west traffic, making it all just application traffic. From the edge to the workload, developers may now apply capabilities previously only available in an API gateway to any element of their application topology. API Gateway and a comprehensive set of API governance tools are included in the TSB Golden Gate release out of the box.

Starburst, an analytics anywhere firm, announced the industry’s first cross-cloud analytics solution with the latest instalment of its SaaS product Starburst Galaxy announced it at AWS re:Invent, hosted by Amazon Web Services, Inc. (AWS). This most recent version of Starburst Galaxy, first released in February 2021, now enables clients to query data across cloud platforms smoothly without compromising speed or access.

“Analyzing data across cloud providers is a growing concern for enterprises as data is increasingly generated and stored in multiple clouds, as well as on-premises data centers. Fugue and CWS Team Up to Solve Enterprise Cloud Security Gaps with End-to-End Policy as Code Enforcement

CWS, an IT services firm that helps large, highly regulated companies migrate to the cloud, has teamed up with Fugue, a cloud security SaaS company, to provide developer-first cloud security for mission-critical and time-sensitive cloud deployments. Fugue’s SaaS platform secures cloud infrastructure throughout all stages of the software development life cycle by employing the same infrastructure controls as code checks and the cloud runtime environment. CWS and Fugue have teamed together to focus on delivering safe cloud infrastructure quickly, starting with a large telecoms firm and resulting in a 90 percent faster deployment with half the engineering staff.
